The 2026 drone light show will take place at Centennial Park in downtown Canon City on July 4th, around dusk. Whitewater Rooftop Social, directly across the street at 302 Royal Gorge Blvd, is hosting a watch party that evening, a front-row seat for the show. This year, Canon City's Independence Day celebration takes a new shape. Instead of a fireworks display, the July 4th sky over Centennial Park will come alive with a synchronized drone light show. It is safer, quieter, and able to go ahead even during dry summer fire restrictions, while still bringing the whole community together.
We're excited to launch our fundraising campaign for the 2026 Canon City Independence Day celebration! Our goal is $25,000 to produce this year's drone light show. Every donation helps keep this community tradition alive.
